Superbike, Michael van der Mark wins race-1 at Magny-Cours
There’è not the dominator of the Superbike world championship, the Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu, back from thirteen consecutive victories between races-1, races-2 and superpole races and absent due to the terrible fall of yesterday’s free practice, but in race-1 at Magny-Cours there’è always a BMW in front of everyone, and è that of his teammate Michael van der Mark.
In fact, the Dutchman triumphed at the French circuit in a race hampered by adverse weather conditions with 8”288 over the official Ducati of Spaniard Alvaro Bautista and 24”285 over the Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati of Danilo Petrucci.
Many crashes, including those of the second and fourth in the world standings, Nicolò Bulega, Bautista’s teammate, who remains 92 points behind Razgatlioglu and now has 30 on Bautista, and Alex Lowes on Kawasaki.
