In the aftermath of his triumph at the U.S. Open, Jannik Sinner gave a long interview to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' in which he covered numerous topics, even returning to the darkest moments: "I went through hard times, not only before the tournament but in the months leading up to it. I held on to the people who love me. Forò if you are prepared, difficulties make you grow".

"When I entered the field it was not like before, those who know me could see that something was wrong – added the South Tyrolean – For a long time I experienced restless nights, I often did not sleep and when è the affair came out è it was easier to understand why I had often been sick".

"During the Us Open, forè I started to be myself again. And that è more important than the result. I am also nervous sometimes and in those cases I would like to be moreù calm. Forò I have always stuck to the work. The problems have not disappeared from my mind, but I think about them less" concluded the world number one.
