Market backstory on Adrien Rabiot: "It was all done"

During the Interview granted to Tuttosport, Walter Sabatini revealed a market backstory on Adrien Rabiot: "We are talking about a footballer that I like a lot: I wanted to bring him to Roma. It was done, when he was at the end of his contract with PSG, then I had a quarrel with his mother and the thing jumpedò".

In July è the contract linking Rabiot to Juventus expired and since then the player has still not found a team: "Of course, if a player like him does not find a team, it means that something in the soccer market is changing: these are extreme situations that are not very predictable. These are signs of change in the mentalityà of managers and perhaps also of fans".

Cristiano Giuntoli bought Teun Koopmeiners after a very long negotiation. This is Sabatini’s opinion: "I would not have spent almost 60 million euros on him, these are not investments I was used to during my managerial career. I used to take players of other starting level, a player with these figures I would not have taken him, but there is no questioning the value of Koopmeiners, absolutely: I like in soccer to see the feats of youngsters, maybe taken from other continents".

"È it is obvious that Koopmeiners, being a top Atalanta player, would have been paid such a figure: è an important footballer, of course it costs and the negotiation would have gone on these levels. If a player does not represent an asset for a second market, to be resold in the future at a higher figure, the way I am, I do not value him. There are other operations that excite me more, even Juventus".
