Brazil of phenomena beaten by Paraguay. Now at risk

Another heavy defeat for Chile

So many surprises in the South American qualifiers for the upcoming World Cup. The biggest one involves Brazil. At the Defensores del Chaco stadium in Asuncion, hosts Paraguay pulled off an authentic miracle, beating Brazil (1-0 the final). The Paraguayan national team’s winning goal è was signed, on 20' of the first half, by Diego Gomez, Messi’s teammate at Inter Miami.

Heavy defeat for Brazil with the phenomena Endrick, Rodrygo and Vinicius unable to find a way to turn on their talents and score to Paraguay, which, after 16 years, canò again celebrate a success over the greenoro.

At the moment Brazil è fifth in the standings (with the same points as Venezuela) and, in fact, is taking a chance. The next challenge will be against Chile, which, now in a black crisis, could try to redeem itself precisely against Vinicius and co. At this point, Vinicius and his teammates cannot make any more mistakes in order not to jeopardize qualification for the next World Cup.

Chile’s vertical collapse, which also surrendered to Bolivia (2-1), further complicating an already disastrous ranking. Currently Chile è ninth in the standings with only five points won in eight matches played. In the other matches, a deadlocked draw between Venezuela and Uruguay while Ecuador won over Perù (1-0) and thus managed to overtake, in the standings, Brazil itself.
