Tennis and non-skiing: Jannik Sinner explains key factors in his choice

Speaking on the U.S. TV program "Live Kelly and Mark" live on ABC, Jannik Sinner, among other topics, è returned to talk about his childhood decision to pursue a career in tennis at the expense of skiing.

"When I was growing up I was definitely better as a skier than as a tennis player. I decided to change sports becauseè in skiing if you make a mistake you can no longer win, whereas in tennis you can make mistakes, accept the mistakes, move on and still have a chance to bring home the match. It è also happened to me in the final against Fritz at the US Open" began the South Tyrolean.

"On a tennis court sometimes you have to play with the face of a poker player, but inside, really, maybe there's a storm of different emotions" added the world number one.

"My family è from the far north in Italy. We come from the mountains, we are in nature, there are many animals, but not è a jungle. In our parts, the mentality è and the way of life is a little different than in other parts. Italy è is a very diverse and beautiful national" Jannik Sinner commented.

After his triumph at the U.S. Open, the South Tyrolean will take a few days off before heading to Bologna to support his compatriots engaged in the group stage of the 2024 Davis Cup, where Italy will be called upon to defend the title it won in the previous edition in the final against Australia.
