Maurizio Sarri is clear about his own future
The former coach of, among others, Juventus and Chelsea, also ready to return in January
Sarri è out of the business that matters for some time. Exactly since last March, when he decided to step down as Lazio coach. He misses coaching a lot and is looking forward to getting back in the game, perhaps as early as January, then this season. Or, if someone will need him, even earlier.
"I hope before January. It will depend on the situations, on the offers he receives, on the motivation. From the phone call that will transmit meà moreù adrenaline", his clear words to the Gazzetta dello Sport. The former coach of Napoli, Juventus and Chelsea, among others, just can't stay away from soccer and his job as a coach.
"I still want to coach and I think I am in a position to give something. È it is true that young people are in fashion right now, but last year the three European Cups were won by coaches of my age: Ancelotti in Champions, Gasperini in the Europa League and Mendilibar in the Conference. Ditto De La Fuente, CT of Spain'European Champions", continued the 65-year-old technician.
Sarri also dwells on Thiago Motta’s new Juventus, which has been completely revolutionized compared to last season: "When I arrived, at Juventus there were no prerequisites for a cultural revolution. Right now, however, I think there are. We are at the beginning, but in flashes you can see the will of Motta to do something different", Sarri's quip.
