Red Bull, Max Verstappen has only one priority
The words of Max Verstappen
After their sixth-place finish in the Monza GP, Red Bull and Max Verstappen will try to raise their heads again in the Baku GP in hopes of holding off Lando Norris, who has considerably reduced his gap in the drivers’ standings. The Austrian team’s recent results, in addition, have also reopened the Constructors’ Championship, as McLaren è is only eight points behind. Ahead of the GP in Azerbaijan, the Dutch driver to the team’s official channels, made his goals well known.
"This week I went back to the factory with the team and worked in the simulator ahead of the double round. Monza è was a difficult race and now our priority è is to be competitive again already here in Baku. The team has worked hard to improve the problems we have had with the car in the last few races. It's always a good challenge to come to Azerbaijan, as it's a street circuit with big straights. It is a special track, we will see what the weekend holds for us" these are the words of Max Verstappen.
In addition to the three-time world champion, teammate Sergio Perez, who has already triumphed twice in Baku, also spoke to the team’s official channels."Both Max and I have been at the factory working with the team to make sure we find a solution to the problems we have found in the performance of the car. Getting back to where we should be on the grid will take a lot of collective effort, but we are confident that we are going in the right direction.
Baku è always a fun track, I personally love racing here, the city circuits suit my style and I like to test myself. It will beè interesting to see how the RB20 reacts, free practice will be crucial for us and then it will be a matter of putting into practice everything we have learned about the car over the last few weeks".
