Lucia Bronzetti's adventure at the WTA 250 in Monastir continues. On the outdoor cement in Tunisia, the tennis player from Romagna è imposed herself with a peremptory 6-2 6-1 over Croatian Antonia Ruzic in just under 70 minutes of play, detaching the pass for the tournament semifinals.
The match started immediately uphill for the Italian player, who immediately lost her serve in the opening game. From that moment, the Rimini native rose to the top by posting four games in a row and closing the first set 6-2. The second partial, on the other hand, è without history, as Bronzetti commanded the match from start to finish, closing the score at 6-1.
In the semifinals, the number 7 seed will face Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, who è won the marathon match against Sara Sorribes Tormo with a score of 1-6 7-6 7-5.
Ending in the quarterfinals, however, was Martina Trevisan's adventure at the WTA 250 in Guadalajara. The Tuscan player è surrendered in three sets to Australian Olivia Gadecki with a score of 6-2 3-6 6-1.
The start of the match was tragic for the Florence native, as she was down 0-5 in no time. The Italian has a minimal reaction, but her opponent, accomplice to the large lead, manages to close the score on 6-2.
In the second set è Trevisan first to find the break in the fourth game, but Gadecki è good to bring herself back to par immediately. The Italian, however, did not give up and broke her rival twice more, thus taking the match to the third set.
In the deciding set, the Italian paid for the physical effort and the Australian took advantage of it to fly away in the score and close the match with a clear 6-1.
