Giorgia Villa holds on to her Olympic silver medal
The words of Giorgia Villa
Giorgia Villa was also among the Allianz ambassadors celebrated Thursday morning in Milan after the Paris 2024 Olympics: "How much does this medal weigh? So much! This medal è really a revenge for me".
"In Tokyo I couldn’t go because of an injury. When I è was read the team for Paris I was in tears, let alone when I won the medal. So è it was really great to participate in such an important competition. And I still get emotional thinking about all that time, all the time done in the village. It weighs a lot but è really a fantastic achievement", he told Sportal.it.
"Our goal was precisely to win a medal. We were not thinking about silver, we were aiming for bronze. We were stronger than Brazil. I am proud of my teammates, my coaches and especially the biggest thank you goes to my parents. If I made it here è also thanks to them, who when I was little took me from the house to the gym every time".
"Obviously, the biggest goals are in 2028, forò there's the Serie A in February so we already start working for that. The state of preservation of the medal? All good, all good, è at home, I don't touch it because it gets ruined. Forò every now and then I go to check if there'è becauseé I can go over a little bit; all the emotions".
