Milan, Paulo Fonseca smiles: good news from the infirmary ahead of the derby
A key recovery for Paulo Fonseca ahead of the derby
Good news is arriving from the infirmary for Paulo Fonseca regarding the condition of Mike Maignan. The Rossoneri French extreme defender has reportedly recovered from a severe contusion injury to his right thigh and is already back with the group to prepare for the derby against Inter.
However, the 29-year-old goalkeeper will be kept under observation by the Milan staff and should there be no relapse, it will be up to the former Lille man to defend the Rossoneri goal against the Nerazzurri. In any case, the Portuguese coach would have already put young Torriani on pre-alert.
In addition to Maignan, Paulo Fonseca is also expected to recover Davide Calabria ahead of the challenge with Inter. The Azzurri fullback will play for a place with Emerson Royal for whoever will start as starting right-back. Completing the defense will be Pavlovic, Tomori and Theo Hernandez.
In midfield, l'ex-Lille is expected to confirm Fofana and Loftus-Cheek, with Pulisic, Reijnders and Leao as trequartists. In attack, trust in Alvaro Morata.
