In the first singles match of the second day of the Laver Cup at the Uber Arena in Berlin, the U.S. Frances Tiafoe beat Russian Daniil Medvedev by a score of 3-6 6-4 10-5 in just over an hour and a half of play, putting the Rest of the World ahead of Europe 4-2 since every win today is worth two points.
Tiafoe has a break point in the fourth game of the first set but does not exploit it and then è he loses serve in the next game. Medvedev also makes another break in the ninth game and closes the set at the third chance after being up 0-40 on the U.S.’s serve.
