Historic Saturday at the Cremona Circuit with victory in Race 1 of the Acerbis d’Italia Round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship for Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team) who took his first WorldSBK win, before completing the hat trick on Sunday. Past and present opponents commented on his victory, both from the MotoGP and WorldSBK paddocks, including eight-time world champion Marc Marquez and reigning MotoGP world champion Pecco Bagnaia as well as two-time WorldSBK champion Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).

Bautista on Saturday è got on the podium along with ‘Petrux’: “I congratulate him since è outstanding what he did. He won in MotoGP™, Dakar, MotoAmerica and now in WorldSBK. È outstanding. I think no other rider has been able to win in all these categories. Kudos to him. He is doing a great job. He started a couple of years ago, è grew up and è nice to have moreù riders fighting for victory”.

Lots of satisfaction for Petrucci also from the’eight-time world champion Marc Marquez: “I am overjoyed for Danilo. Unfortunately, I did not see the race but maybe I will watch it on Monday. I am happy for him since he è a very good guy. He has so much charisma and I am happy for him; congratulations, Danilo!”.

Two-time MotoGP world champion Pecco Bagnaia said: “I am very happy for Danilo since I think he deserves it. I think he’s the only one in the world to have won in the Dakar, MotoGP™, WorldSBK and MotoAmerica and so è something really important for him. Quite an achievement. I’m very happy for him, I think he deserves it”.
