Official Andrea Cinciarini to Givova Scafati

Through a statement issued on its official channels, Givova Scafati announced that it has signed the best assistman in the history of Serie A Andrea Cinciarini.

The Cattolica native took his first steps in basketball in the youth sector of Pesaro, a club in which he made his debut in October 2003 in the top national league. In 2004/2005 he defends the colors of Virtus Pesaro, before experiences in Senigallia (B d’Eccellenza), Pistoia, Montegranaro and Cantù. In 2012 he signed with Pallacanestro Reggiana, in the Emilian tank top came the first great successes: he won the’EuroChallenge – being elected MVP of the tournament – in 2014, the’following year he reached the scudetto final (then lost) against Dinamo Sassari. More than 1,000 points in just under 90 games make him a true idol of Reggio Emilia in spicchi.

In the summer of 2015 he moved to Olimpia Milano, becoming its captain in 2016. As many as six are Andrea’s seasons in the meneghina jersey, in which he manages to enrich his palmares in no small way: two scudetti, three Coppe Italia and four Supercoppe Italiane. In the summer market of 2021 he returned to Reggio Emilia, where he wrote yet another page of personal and championship history thanks to the triple double he scored in the match against Treviso: the first Italian in history to do so. Cinciarini in the Italian league holds numerous records, the most iconic among all è that achieved on January 8, 2023, when he became the active player with the most assists in Serie A. He closed the two-year period 2021-23 by registering an impressive 9.8 assists per shoelace at the end of both his first and second seasons.

In the 2023/2024 season he opens a new chapter in his extraordinary career: the important proposal of Zaragoza, a formation engaged in the Spanish top league and also in the continental field, in the Europe Cup, tempts Andrea, who accepts the role as “foreigner”. The return to Italy was not long in coming, the signing with Pesaro last December è his last stop before the ’landing in Gialloblù land. He closes last season, in which he totals 38 appearances between Liga ACB, FIBA Europe Cup and LBA, with 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 recovered balls on average in Italy, being the third best assist-man in the league and the second in the recoveries entry: exceptional numbers for a man, before that player, truly infinite.

The “Cincia” has participated in four editions of the European Championships with the Italian national team jersey (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017). Now all the leadership and quality of a legend of tricolor basketball are at the complete disposal of Givova.
