Lazio, stellar Europa League debut: Dia scorer, Dinamo Kiev overwhelmed
Dinamo Kiev-Lazio 0-3
Marco Baroni’s adventure in the Europa League could not have started better. In fact, his Lazio beat Dinamo Kiev 3-0 in an away match (played at Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion Volksparkstadion ) thanks to Dia’s double and Dele-Bashiru’s goal, all of which came in the first half.
The Biancocelesti started very strong and after 5 minutes they were already ahead: Dia dueled in the box with Pedro before unloading a shot into the corner. Shortly after the half-hour mark comes a terrible one-two from the guests that effectively closes the game: on 34’ Dele-Bashiru, launched by Vecino, beats Bushchan and signs the double; a minute later Dia drops the tris with a precise header.
At the start of the second half to report a muscle problem for Patric, who was forced to change: Gila entered in his place. At 60’ Pedro came close to a poker by hitting the post with Bushchan beaten. At 72’ Dinamo remained in 10 for a direct red to the newly entered Bragaru who hit Zaccagni hard. Ten minutes later numerical parity was restored: the newly entered Noslin was sent off for elbowing Dubinchak.
With this round success, Lazio moves to the top of the Europa League standings, on 3 points, along with Galatasaray, Slavia Prague, Az Alkmaar, Bodo Glimt and Anderlecht.
