WTA Beijing: bitter debut for Martina Trevisan and Lucia Bronzetti
WTA 1000 Beijing: Martina Trevisan and Lucia Bronzetti out at the debut
It's already over for Martina Trevisan's adventure at the WTA 1000 in Beijing. The Florence native, after losing in the first round of the Us Open, è surrendered again to the American Taylor Townsend, who è imposed herself with a score of 6-2 4-6 6-3 in just over two hours of play.
In the first set there'è only the American on the court, who immediately finds the break in the second game. The Italian struggled on her serve and the Chigaco native took advantage to take another break and close out the first set on 6-2.
In the second partial came the reaction of Trevisan, who managed to break her service from her opponent in the third game. After the break, the Italian managed to handle her own serve turns well, taking the match to the third and decisive set.
The third set also starts well for the Florence native, as she snatches the serve in the opening game. However, Townsend raises the level and thanks to a partial twelve points to four she overturns the result and closes the score at 6-3.
Nothing to do either for Lucia Bronzetti, who was decisively defeated by the Japanese Naomi Osaka with a score of 6-3 6-2. The Italian paid dearly for several untaken break points during the first set.
