During an intervention on the program "Flexi Bike", LCR Honda's former sport director Oscar Haro è returned to talk about the failure to promote Jorge Martin to official Ducati in favor of Marc Marquez. In commenting on this negotiation, the former manager of Lucio Cecchinello's team revealed a curious backstory regarding also the former Dt of the Borgo Panigale stable Paolo Ciabatti.
"On the occasion of the last leg of the MXGP in Spain, Paolo Ciabatti invited me to the Ducati hospitality and told me that he was amazed by Jorge’s race in Indonesia. He confided in me that, in his opinion, Martin deserved to be promoted to the official team and that he did well to leave after the Borgo Panigale team first told him sì and then changed his mind" began the former Dt of LCR Honda.
"I was pleased to hear how Ciabatti was on Martin’s side. I fully understand that there were interests and when a factor like Marquez comes into play business is business, but I share Paolo’s thinking and for me it was Jorge who should have been promoted to Ducati ufficiale" added Oscar Haro.
