Leipzig-Juventus, Thiago Motta awaits the ringing of Dusan Vlahovic
In career, only two goals in Champions League
Vlahovic, in the league match with Genoa, found his way to goal again. He scored a brace, silencing the critics and confirming that he has the potential to be a master striker. Now he è called to confirm himself in the Champions League in the delicate challenge against the hostile Leipzig.
Numbers in hand, the Serbian has yet to (really) make his mark in the top European event. To date, he has scored two goals in eight total appearances. Curiously enough, he scored his first goal in his debut match in the Champions League, on Feb. 20, 2022 (against VIllarreal, 33 seconds after the whistle blew).
Clearly, è called upon to make even more of a difference in the Europe that counts. Thiago Motta trusts his qualities and today he will be in the starting eleven that will challenge Leipzig. Vlahovic will lead the Bianconeri attack, along with Nico Gonzalez and Yildiz. Not on the goalscorer list in the first Champions League match with Feyenoord, he aims to redeem himself against the German team.
In order to really shut up the critics, Vlahovic è knows that he needs to give continuity of performance and, above all, goals, to his performances on the pitch. Against Leipzig he has a golden opportunity to prove that he can take the Old Lady's attack on his shoulders. He will be, once again, under the magnifying glass.
