NBA, Rajon Rondo studies coaching: “I’m learning”
He won two NBA rings: one with the Celtics, the other with the Lakers
Rondo è was one of the most complete point guards in the entire NBA. He won two NBA titles. The first with the Boston Celtics in 2008, the other with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. Last April he decided to retire. His desire è to become a coach. Doc Rivers, his former coach and current head coach in Milwaukee, invited him to work with him at the Bucks.
Rondo's on-court experience è an important foundation for embarking on a coaching career. "I am learning how it works. There isn't a path. I just want to learn as much as I can", his clear words reported by ESPN.
"È the smartest player I have ever coached, and not è just smart", explained Doc Rivers himself. "He knows when he has to say something and when, instead, è it is better not to speak. È a great team builder. È a fun situation and è great to have him here with us. Rondo sees it all, è a savant of the game".
Rondo, 38, has è made himself completely available to his former coach Doc Rivers. He has no specific role within the coaching staff but, as the former point guard himself pointed out, "…I am here to help". In short, the two-time NBA Champion’s path to becoming a basketball coach è officially begun.
