America's Cup, Luna Rossa already looks to a new challenge
Luna Rossa is moving forward with the America&#rsquo;s Cup project, despite its exit in the Louis Vuitton Cup final. This was stated by the patron of the Italian team, Patrizio Bertelli, speaking in the aftermath of the decisive defeat to Ineos Britannia.
”We are going ahead because é this è a commitment we made in 2020 when we started the America’s Cup – Bertelli’s words to Sky Sport -, we know that è a game in which we have to insist".
The entrepreneur also announced that "Max Sirena will definitely be the team leader in the adventure we will face right away, while Francesco Bruni will be part of the team as a youth coach".
Luna Rossa’s consortium has twice earned the pass to challenge the holders of the world’s oldest sailing trophy (and more) and lost both times, again from Team New Zealand, in 2000 and 2021.
