Strong emotions in the Sprint in Motegi, home of the Japanese Grand Prix. At the end of a race with many twists and turns, success è went to Bagnaia, good at managing a complicated last lap. Behind him came Bastianini and Marc Marquez. Fourth place for Martin, who started from the’eleventh box on the grid. Of note was Acosta’s crash. The KTM Spaniard è fell four laps from the end when he was in the lead.

Rocket start by Martin who, from the’11° place on the grid, immediately returned to the back of the leaders. Bravo to Acosta who is not intimidated and maintains the first position, with Bagnaia behind him. Martin pushes hard, in an attempt to recover as many positions as possible. However, having reached fifth position, he has to deal with a Marc Marquez not in the mood for gifts.

With four laps to go, comes the’mistake of the Sprint leader Acosta who slips, leaving soì the first place to Bagnaia who, thanks to Bastianini (good at keeping behind Marc Marquez), brings home the victory (sixth Sprint won in the season). Total despair for the Spaniard who stroked, after his first pole position, the dream of also winning the Sprint in Motegi.

Also smiling is Bagnaia who, having finished second, recovers six points against his rival for the World Championship Martin, fifth at the finish line. Now the gap between the Spaniard and the reigning World Champion è of 15 points. In Sunday’s race, Bagnaia will try to put further pressure on Martin in a truly electrifying duel.
