Italian Super Cup 2024-2025: dates, place and pairings made official

Lega Serie A has released the dates of the Italian Super Cup

Through an official note, the Lega Serie A released details regarding the 2024-2025 edition of the Italian Super Cup, which will be held for the second consecutive year in Saudi Arabia with the Final Four format.

"The EA Sports FC Supercup will be held in Saudi Arabia for the fifth time. As with the big American professional leagues, Lega Serie A has been exporting and promoting its brand abroad since 1993. The Italian Super Cup, in fact, has è been played four times in Saudi Arabia and China, twice in the United States and Qatar and once in Libya. The 37ª edition of the Tournament will be held in Riyadh and like last year it will be played with the four-team formula, which includes two knockout Semifinals (January 2 – 3, 2025) and the Final on January 6, 2025" this is the statement issued by the Football League.

The four participating clubs will be reigning Italian champion Inter, reigning Italian Cup winner Juventus 2023/2024, Milan second in the last championship and Atalanta finalist in the last edition of the Italian Cup.

The first semifinal will pit Inter and Atalanta against each other (Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025), while Juventus and AC Milan will face each other in the second (Friday, Jan. 3, 2025). The grand final will be played on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 at the Kingdom Arena.

The dates of the rematches will also be announced in the coming days, as the four clubs will skip the 19th round of the championship to fly to Ryhad for the Italian Super Cup.
