Helmut Marko speaks out on the future of Yuki Tsunoda

Speaking at the microphones of the German website "F1-Insider", Helmut Marko, among other topics discussed, è dwelt on the future of Yuki Tsunoda in Racing Bulls and his possible promotion to Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen.

"Tsunoda è a candidate to be Max’s teammate in 2025. The remaining races of this championship will decide how our driver pairs will be next year" began the Red Bull consultant.

"Alongside Verstappen I can imagine a driver from our nursery. We decided to compare Lawson and Tsunoda. They will have the same material, the same conditions and will have six races to show us who è the best driver and to deserve the place in Red Bull also for next season" added the Austrian manager.

"We came up with the philosophy of young drivers. Just think of Vettel, Verstappen and Ricciardo. The others are now following this track. Mercedes will give Kimi Antonelli a chance, Haas will give Oliver Bearman a chance, Williams will give Franco Colapinto a chance, and then there'è Audi, which seems to be seriously considering Mick Schumacher" commented Helmut Marko.
