Historic victory for Luna Rossa triumphing in the first edition of the women's America's Cup.
The Italian team, consisting of Giulia Conti, Margherita Porro, Giulia Fava and Maria Giubilei in Barcelona beat the British of Athena Pathway, a boat tied with INEOS Britannia, in the finals, beating the men of the Prada Pirelli hull.
The team dedicated the victory to Max Sirena, skipper of all the Italian consortium teams, who missed out on the’America’s Cup “classic” but won, before the women’s, the juniors’s as well.
