Gonzalo Gómez dies at 34

Spanish soccer è in mourning. Gonzalo Gómez, a former goalkeeper for teams such as SD Logroñés, Náxara and Calahorra, passed away at the age of just thirty-four: he lost his battle with the serious illness that had forced him into the hospital for days.

Trained in the youth categories of teams such as Berceo and Balsamaiso, in 2009 he signed for SDL (currently in Segunda RFEF after this year&#39s relegation from Primera RFEF) and then defended the colors of other Iberian teams.

After hanging up his gloves, Gonzalo worked on the technical staffs of other teams in the Community of La Rioja. The funeral mass for the unfortunate former soccer player will be held Wednesday at the Valvanera church in Logroño.
