A flying Fijian for the Zebras
Zebras make official the arrival of Rusiate Nasove
With a note released through their official channels, Zebre Parma have made official the signing of second line Rusiate Nasove, last year at Valorugby Emilia in Serie A Elite and previously at Fijian Drua, the Super Rugby Pacific franchise directly linked to the Fijian national team, the Flying Fijians, with whom Nasove has played three times, also earning a call-up with the Barbarians, the most prestigious invitational club in oval ball.
Nasove, class of 1995, will be immediately available to Zebre head coach Massimo Brunello and forwards coach Emiliano Bergamaschi. The goal of the federal franchise active in the United Rugby Championship è is to make the available roster deeper and deeper, in a very delicate role as the one marked on the field by the numbers 4 and 5.
The signing of the Fijian also takes into account the possible absence of several Zebre elements during the preparation of the national teams for the November international window. The league that includes the franchises of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, South Africa and Italy will in fact continue until Oct. 26, before taking a month off.
The Zebras began the new season with the goal of improving on last year’s meager haul (only one win and one draw in eighteen games). A success in the first month of the championship è came against one of the URC's battleships, Munster, a decidedly prestigious victory.
