Dimitris Priftis lists the dangers of the Trieste challenge
Trieste-Reggio Emilia will be played Sunday night at the home of the Giulians
Recovering from two consecutive victories in the league, but also from the knockout in the Champions League against Szombathely, Unahotels Reggio Emilia is preparing for an away game, the one on Trieste’s parquet, which the head coach of the Emilians, Dimitris Priftis, calls treacherous. The Greek coach listed the dangers of the challenge to the Giulians at the match presentation.
"Trieste has had an impressive start to the season,” he said, “both in terms of their successes and the value of the opponents they have faced. They have remarkable perimeter danger and great confidence in taking shots even at high difficulty coefficient. In addition to being solid defensively, especially in the first seconds of the’action, to try to win will definitely need something more on our part" in attack.
"Against the Hawk in BCL we played a game of fight and intensity,& added Priftis, but we è lacked some good offensive solutions to be able to bring it home. We will have to be good at finding more moments of inertia in our favor. Going back to the defensive aspect, for sure Trieste has a lot of firepower, both in the outside and the longs, and a lot of their offensive production comes through the hands of Colbey Ross".
"I think that playing in a balanced way on offense can help our defense: I am referring especially to not losing balls 'alive' to be delivered directly into the hands of our opponents and thus open up spaces for them on the counterattack where they have the ability" to exalt themselves" concluded the coach born in 1968.
