Reyer Venezia, Neven Spahija in Pistoia with one more doubt
Reyer Venice: McGruder c'è, Ennis and Casarin maybe
Reyer Venezia is looking away in Pistoia for its first victory since last September 25 (97-75 against Aris in Eurocup): since then, in fact, six consecutive defeats have come between the league, in which the orogranata have not yet won, and the second most important competition among those organized by Euroleague Basketball.
A moment that Neven Spahija wants to conclude benché, despite having newcomer Rodney McGruder at his disposal, the Croatian coach is not sure about the recovery of Tyler Ennis, absent for three weeks due to a sprained right knee, and Davide Casarin, victim of a right ankle injury. The two, however, are on the call-up list and the possibility of employing them on Sunday will be evaluated in extremis.
"We play in Pistoia with little time to prepare for the game,” Spahija said at the presentation of the match against Estra, “but we are happy with the arrival of McGruder and the return of Ennis and Casarin to the summonses. I am and we are positive, the moment è tough, but the team è mentally strong".
"One of the most important goals for us was not to overload the non-injured players, we succeeded. Now we have to build our identity. Pistoia è a team that has quality in several aspects of the game, but we will go there to do everything to win the game" concluded the coach of the Laguna players.
