Moto2, Thailand: van den Goorbergh runs over Arbolino: no injuries but lots of fear
Arbolino decided not to give up
In the first free practice session of the Thai GP, incredible accident in the pit lane. The van den Goorbergh rider, re-entering the pit lane, hit Arbolino, who was stopped in the pit lane due to a failure of his bike.
Really unimaginable dynamics. The Dutch rider van den Goorbergh tried to squeeze between Arbolino’s bike and the marshal who was rescuing the very Italian rider stopped in the pit lane. Unfortunately, the maneuver è turned out to be too risky with van den Goorbergh hitting Arbolino’s left leg.
Arbolino è immediately snapped, experiencing severe pain in his left leg. Immediately rescued, the Italian è was transported to the paddock medical center and, later, to the hospital for assessment. Fortunately, no serious injuries and, therefore, the'ok from the medical staff to be able to return to the track immediately in Buriram.
Arbolino, completed the process of medical examinations, on crutches, è returned to the paddock and decided to try to continue his weekend in Thailand, despite the problem in his left leg. The driver è took to the track for Free Practice 2, confirming that he can continue to compete. van den Goorbergh, because of what happened, è was penalized. On Sunday he will have to è start from the pit lane.
