Moto2, Thailand: Aron Canet wins but the World Championship belongs to Ai Ogura
The 23-year-old Japanese rider, next year, will beà in MotoGP
Ai Ogura è the new Moto2 World Champion. The Japanese rider won, mathematically, the title in Thailand, finishing second at the finish line behind Aron Canet. For Ai Ogura a great feat, in his last year in Moto 2 (next year he will be the protagonist in MotoGP with Aprilia).
Race with many emotions and conditioned by the rain that appears with six laps to go, forcing the race direction to wave the red flag with ter laps to go. Second place was enough for Ai Ogura to take home the World Championship. Also celebrating is Boscoscoscuro, the Italian team behind Ai Ogura (first historic title in the category).
Aron Canet comes out with his head held high from the season-long challenge with Ai Ogura: "My mentalityà è changed after Silverstone. I know what I have to do for next season", his words released after the end of the race.
Excited 23-year-old new World Champion Ai Ogura: "I have no words, really unbelievable all this. All the moments experienced this season went through my head.
