WTA Finals, Jasmine Paolini’s opponents unveiled
The rounds of the WTA Finals, scheduled for Nov. 2-9 on the indoor concrete of the King Saud University Arena, were drawn in Riyadh. Jasmine Paolini è has been placed in the purple group with Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Qinwen Zheng.
Not è was particularly lucky for the Tuscan tennis player who drew for each bracket the tennis player with the highest ranking. In the first bracket in fact, she found the first seed and world number one Sabalenka, in the third bracket the fifth seed Rybakina and in the fourth and last bracket the number 7 seed Zheng.
In the other group, the orange one, are Iga Swiatek, world number two, the two U.S.-based Coco Gauff, fourth seeded and Jessica Pegula, number six seeded, and Czech Barbora Krejcikova, number eight seeded.
Paolini will also be engaged in doubles paired with Sara Errani. The two Italians ended up in the white group with Gabriela Dabrowski/Erin Routliffe, Caroline Dolehide/Desirae Krawczyk and Chan Hao-Ching/Veronika Kudermetova.
