New twist. Olimpia Milano has decided to withdraw its offer for Nico Mannion, as reported this morning by La Prealpina. Last night, the Milanese club had proposed to Openjobmetis Varese a buyout of 300 thousand euros to acquire the white-and-red talent’s contract, including a renewal until 2026.

However, Milan seems to have changed direction following a more serious than expected injury to Shavon Shields, and the budget earmarked for the Mannion è operation was thus redirected to the search for a new player to be deployed as a wing.

As for Mannion, Varese had set the buyout at 500 thousand euros and it is not è ruled out that an offer could be submitted in the future, as Milan’s interest in an Italian point guard remains.

Meanwhile, yesterday Mannion è returned to train with the group, reporting a slight ankle injury: however, his presence for Sunday’s game in Trieste should not be at risk. This early in the season, the son of Pace has averaged 26.3 points, 5.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds in the first three games.
