Nenad Markovic’s words ahead of Pistoia

.

Nenad Markovic, coach of Dinamo Sassari, presented the match against Pistoia, scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m., in a press conference: "Very important match for us, the last league match against Tortona I saw significant improvements in defense. We have to see who will be there because of injuries, but regardless of who will take the court on Sunday, I want them to play 100 percent from start to finish".

Injury chapter: "We will definitely miss Udom, but I think I can recover Renfro who was not 100%, I preferred to keep him rested in the cup not to risk it, let’s see in the last two days of training before the game".

"Me in question? I don’t think I go to the match and think about these things, I think in our work we are always in discussion, I try to prepare the team to the maximum, I think the players understand the’importance of the match and I don’t want to burden my head with this kind of situation, I focus on doing the best on Sunday".

On opponents: "They are a very good team, they have players who can put you in trouble, they have long guys who shoot 3-pointers, they have spirit, we have to control our emotions starting from the head, approach in the right way, understand what is important to do to win the match. Rebounds will be key, protect our basket, like passing the ball and be patient, they will make tactical changes with the new coach, we should be ready".

"Without Udom we can play with two longs, we can play with Soko as a power forward, we have to find the chemistry and try to be balanced without disrupting the system, it depends on the’opponent, who you are facing, I don’t think putting two longs makes you protect the iron more, it depends on concentration, on what you introduce, the type of quintet doesn’t matter. In the Cup we won but there were no opponents at the level of our league, Anwil certainly comes close, è a very good team, we have to raise our level, enter concentrated" concluded Markovic.
