Inter, Lautaro Martinez in trouble and now there is also Argentina
Argentina awaiting challenges with Paraguay and Perù
Inter would have preferred him to stay in Milan but Lautaro Martinez è a key player for Scaloni's Argentina who, in fact, promptly summoned him for the two challenges awaiting the Albiceleste, namely the match with Paraguay (Italian night between Thursday and Friday) and Perù (Italian night between Tuesday and Wednesday).
Two delicate commitments, two appointments in which the Nerazzurri captain will, almost certainly, have to give a big hand for his national team to bring home two victories. The problem è that the Taurus of this period is experiencing a delicate moment. This can be seen from the performances on the field but above all from the numbers, which are very different from last season.
To date, the Nerazzurri star has scored six goals this season (five in Serie A, one in the Champions League). A decidedly paltry haul when you consider that, last year, at this point in the season, he had already put up 14 goals.
To make matters worse, Lautaro Martinez has not scored in any of the big matches played so far. Against Juventus, Milan and Napoli he è failed to make an impact, playing rather mediocre games. He is not è in shape, maybe he has played too much (Copa America last summer) but, surely, it does not help him to have to keep going on the field, even with Argentina.
