Sky Up Academy Studios kicks off
Get to know the behind-the-scenes of a reality such as Sky, deal with professionals of the sector and touch the most innovative technologies for the creation of audiovisual content: all this è Sky Up Academy Studios, the new project that allows students to live a unique experience directly in the Sky television studios of Milan Santa Giulia. The classes involved will test themselves in the creation of a multimedia journalistic content and discover what are the key figures that animate a tech & media company, also in a’perspective of orientation to the world of work.
The new spaces dedicated to Sky Up Academy Studios were inaugurated today by the CEO of Sky Italia, Andrea Duilio, who, together with Sarah Varetto, Executive Vice President Communications, Inclusion and Bigger Picture of Sky Italia, welcomed the girls and boys and shared with them a moment of discussion on the value of the initiative and the reflections it can’stimulate for their future choices.
With Sky Up Academy Studios, pupils will take part in three different experiences. During the day, they will get an up-close look at the Production Center, directors, newsrooms and the magic of TV studios. The experience will then continue with a career guidance meeting during which students will have the opportunity to reflect on their inclinations and learn specifically about the working figures of a tech & media company.
Finally, girls and boys will take on the roles of editors, directors, and editors for a day, taking advantage of the most advanced technologies – such as editing desks, green screens and professional cameras – to create original multimedia journalistic content on a topic of their choice from Climate Change, Sports Values and Healthy and Sustainable Food. Pupils will get to record and edit the news report directly in TV studios, supported by Sky’s specialized technical staff.
“We are very pleased to inaugurate Sky Up Academy Studios, which will give students the opportunity to touch our cutting-edge technologies and immerse themselves in the Sky world”, comments Sarah Varetto, Executive Vice President Communications, Inclusion and Bigger Picture of Sky Italia. “It’ll be a formative but also fun experience that will allow kids to express their creative potential and discover the skills necessary for the production of multimedia audiovisual content. For us at Sky, it will be an opportunity to get even closer to the new generations and transmit to them the passion that guides us every day in our work.”
Sky Up Academy Studios è dedicated to classes III, IV and V of secondary schools from all over Italy already enrolled in Sky Up The Edit, the online project aimed at students between 8 and 18 years old that aims to develop the digital skills of the younger generation.
