The ATP Finals remain in Italy until 2030

During the award ceremony for this year’s winner, Jannik Sinner, ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi announced that the ATP Finals will remain in Italy until 2030.

The’former world number 18 did not, however, specify whether the’last tournament of the year on the professional circuit will remain in Turin, where it will be played again next year, or whether it will change venue, for example to Milan, as some rumors want.

The ATP Finals were born in 1970 and have always been a traveling tournament, which has changed many names, including the most famous è that of Masters, to assume its current one in 2017.

The venues have been Tokyo (1970), Paris (1971), Barcelona (1972), Boston (1973), Melbourne (1974), Stockholm (1975), Houston (1976, 2003, and 2004), New York (1977-1989), Frankfurt (1990-1995), Hanover (1996-199), Lisbon (2000), Sydney (2001), Shanghai (2002, 2005-2008), London (2009-2020), and finally Turin (since 2021).

These are the words of the president of Federtennis Angelo Binaghi: “I thank the Atp that renews us trust and our president Gaudenzi with whom we will make this event even bigger. We will have the Atp Finals until 2030, I have no words. We are a great country and è also thanks to your passion".
