Aston Martin, Fernando Alonso already thinking about 2025
The words of Fernando Alonso
Speaking during the media day on the eve of the Las Vegas weekend, Spanish driver Fernando Alonso è dwelt in no uncertain terms on his expectations for the upcoming season. The 43-year-old Spaniard, in addition, did not hide his pessimism regarding Aston Martin's ambitions in these last three Gp of the year.
"The team has hired some good people and some good names for the future as well. Of course, everything is part of the process and we will support whatever decision our bosses make. I am sure that the team's goal è to win championships and races in the future. We want to shorten the time as much as possible and try to become competitive as soon as possible. We hope that 2025 will be better for us" began the Spanish driver.
"We are trying to understand the problems of the car and the performance we need to find and we hope to improve already in these last races of the season, so that we have as much information as possible for next year. It's good that the season is over and we have a break to reset. Looking ahead to next year, we need to treasure what didn't work this season and try to make progress quickly" porsued the former Ferrari.
"I am always optimistic when I arrive at the circuit, è a different track and the tire temperature will be a problem becauseé it is cold, but maybe this è one of the strengths of this car, which is that it heats up the tires very quickly and this è very useful in qualifying. Hopefully we can finish in the top half of the grid and pick up as many points as possible here in Las Vegas, although I doubt we can aspire to the podium in these last three races" commented Fernando Alonso.
