Dorothea Wierer, a mistake costs the Top 10

Marketa Davidova wins the sprint in Kontiolahti, thanks to an error-free race and excellent speed on skis, with a final time of 20’39″7, and beats Sweden’s Elvira Oeberg, who, despite two errors, puts the turbocharger in the final lap and finishes second at 8″8 from the winner. On the third step of the podium, for the first time in her career, climbs Finland’s Suvi Minkkinen, with no errors on the shot and 11″9 behind.

Dorothea Wierer puts in a good race, marred by a mistake on the’last target of the’last polygon that relegates her to 11th place overall with 33″2 disadvantage from the leader. Good race for Michela Carrara, one mistake, 57″9 disadvantage and twenty-second place finish.

Twenty-fifth place for Hannah Auchentaller, who did not make a mistake in the shot and crossed the finish line 1’01″5 behind. Samuela Comola è 36/a, with one mistake and 1’19″7 gap from the leader.

Wierer and Comola will take part in Sunday’s mass start.
