Christof Innerhofer and Mattia Casse shine on the Streif. Third time for the financier from Gais, fourth for the skier from Piedmont and eighth for Florian Schieder in the second time trial in Kitzbuhel ahead of the two downhill runs on Friday, January 19 and Saturday, January 20, a test that saw the two Frenchmen Nils Allegre and Blaise Giezendanner ahead of everyone.

Allegre stopped the stopwatch on’1’56"11, beating his compatriot by 0"02 and a Christof Innerhofer by 0"05, who appeared at ease on the legendary Tyrolean course that has seen him come close to the downhill podium on several occasions. Behind him, with a gap of only 0"07 from Allegre, is Casse – fourth in 2023.

In eighth position, off by 0"53 and also preceded by hosts Vincent Kriechmayr and Christopher Neumayer and the surprising Frenchman Adrien Fresquet, here is Florian Schieder, who regains his feeling for the Streif twelve months after his podium finish in the first of the two downhill runs of last year’s edition.
Eighteenth tally then for Guglielmo Bosca (+1"00), followed by Dominik Paris who scores a gap of 1″04 from Allegre, with Canadian Cameron Alexander tenth (+0"77) after setting the best benchmark in the first run; twelfth then Cyprien Sarrazin (+0″82). As for the other Azzurri, Nicolò Molteni was 1"72 behind Allegre, with Pietro Zazzi 1"96 off, Benjamin Jacques Alliod 2"44 and Matteo Franzoso 4"31, after a long wait at the start following the fall of Swiss Remi Cuche.

At the end of the second test, the jury decided to cancel the third timed test, originally scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18: the ’appointment è therefore for the two runs on Friday and Saturday that will start at 11:30 a.m. Sunday è instead, a slalom is scheduled with the first run at 10:30 a.m. and the second at 1:30 p.m.
