Dominik Fischnaller returns to the podium in Winterberg

Dominik Fischnaller returns to the World Cup podium and does so on the Winterberg (Germany) gut thanks to his second place behind only German Max Langenham, winner with a time of 1’43″695 thanks to the best time in both heats.

Already second in the middle of the race, Fischnaller complained of an overall delay of 0″176 while defending the place of honor from the comeback attempt of Latvian Kristers Aparjods, third at 0″182 after finishing fifth in the first run, with the other German Felix Loch at the foot of the podium (+0″247).

For Fischnaller, holder of the World Cup, this is individual podium number 44 on the highest circuit.

As for the other Azzurri in the race, Leon Felderer finished in 16th place with a delay of 1″244 followed by Lukas Peccei (17th at 1″273) while Alex Gufler collected 23rd position (+2″277).

Earlier in the afternoon, the team event saw Germany impose itself with only a 0″043 margin over Austria while in third place came the United States, trailing by 1″251.Unlucky race for the Italian relay team that after a good launch fraction by Sandra Robatscher had to face first the error at the start of the Nagler / Malleier double and then the derailment of the same Fischnaller who thus did not complete the event.
