In 2025 there will be two Italian players involved in the American golf circuits, both originally from Veneto. Matteo Manassero, the leader of Italian men’s golf, will compete on the PGA Tour, while Benedetta Moresco, 23, will face the world’s best female players on the LPGA Tour.
The young golfer from Caldogno (Vicenza) gained access to the most prestigious international women's circuit thanks to her 18th place finish with 349 strokes (69 70 75 63 72, -9) in the LPGA Q-Series Final Qualifying Stage, held recently in Mobile, Alabama.
Benedetta, who has already taken part in 10 LPGA tournaments by making the cut on two occasions, will next year compete against the likes of Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko, both Olympic champions.
