Josep Martínez Riera, born May 27, 1998 in Alzira, Spain,  plays as goalkeeper for Inter.

The dashing Iberian started playing soccer when he was only 5 years old in his hometown team, Alzira. In 2015 è he was discovered by Barcelona, joining the renowned "La Masia" academy. In July 2017 he è moved to Las Palmas, initially as a member of the second team. His debut with the first team è came on April 28, 2019 in a 4-1 win against Lugo.

In January 2020, Martínez è was bought by RB Leipzig, where he had few opportunities to showcase himself, recording only two Bundesliga appearances. During the 2022-2023 season è he was sold on loan to Genoa, contributing significantly to the club’s promotion to Serie A. Subsequently, Genoa exercised its option to buy, and in the 2023-2024 championship Martínez played 36 matches, keeping the goal unbroken on 8 occasions and contributing to the team's 11º place in the standings.

On July 9, 2024, Inter officially announced the purchase of Josep Martínez for a fee of about 13.5 million euros, plus 2 million in bonuses. Although he has not yet made his official debut with the Nerazzurri, it is expected that he could take the field in the Coppa Italia match against Udinese, which is valid for the round of 16.
