Numia Vero Volleyball Milan for redemption in Portugal
Port-Milan
Night of CEV Champions League in Portugal for Numia Vero Volley Milan. On Wednesday Jan. 8, at 9:30 p.m. (live on DAZN and Sky Sport), Orro and her teammates will take the court of the Dragão Arena to take on the hosts of FC Porto in the fifth day of Pool C.
After almost a month’s break between championship commitments and the World Cup in China, Coach Lavarini’s girls return to the field in the top continental club competition, ready to threaten the top of the group, currently in the hands of VakifBank Istanbul.
In the first leg match, at the Opiquad Arena, Numia – led by a sensational Daalderop, MVP of the match – had dominated the Portuguese, imposing themselves in three sets (25-15, 27-25, 25-17). This is the second overall challenge between the two teams, with Milan having three wins in this group stage, while Porto has collected only one success.
After gaining access last October thanks to a victory in the third qualifying round against CV Gran Canaria, it is the absolute debut in the CEV Champions League for FC Porto, the second Portuguese team to take part in the top continental club competition, after Clube Academico TROFA in 2005/06.
