Smi Roma volleyball dominates Charleroi and sees Challenge Cup semifinals

Smi Roma Volleyball mortgages qualification to the Challenge Cup semifinals. In the first leg of the quarterfinals, in fact, the Capitoline team è imposed itself on the field of Charleroi with a peremptory 3-0 (25-15 25-14 25-18).

The Wolves were able to impose their pace of play far and wide, managing the lead from start to finish. The first two sets were without history, as the Capitoline team è managed to run away in the score already in the opening bars.

In the third partial, however, è came the reaction from Charleroi, which è even managed to put its head ahead on 11-10. At that point, però, coach Cuccarini’s girls placed a 7-2 partial that cut the legs off the hosts, effectively ending the contest.

To gain arithmetical access to the Challenge Cup semifinals, Smi Roma Volleyball will need only to win at least one set in the return match, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. within the friendly walls of the Palazzetto dello Sport in Viale Tiziano.
