After beating Popyrin, the blue è repeated himself

Jannik Sinner is doing well. It was already clear in the first exhibition match of the AO Opening Week against Alexei Popyrin, won by the azure with authority. Not satisfied, the world number one also repeated himself in the second and final exhibition match, which saw him face Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The winner of the 2019 ATP Finals played aggressively, trying to trouble Jannik Sinner at every moment of the match. In the first set, despite Stephen Tsitsipas’ determination, Jannik Sinner è appeared in total control of the match, so much so that he took home the first set with a brilliant 6-3 in 34' of play.

The Greek fought back in the second set. The two did not spare each other and, in the end, came to the tie-break (no breaks on either side). Stephen Tsitsipas è managed to get to 5-4 but the Azure, as often happens to him, found a way to avoid trouble and close out the match.

"An incredible serve today? I wish it was like thatì even in official matches, not in exhibitions. Thanks to the audience for staying to see us, we both tested the court to understand the rebounds. Thanks to Tsitsipas for this match", the words of Jannik Sinner at the end of the exhibition match. Now head only to the tournament. The official debut will be against Chilean tennis player Nicolas Jarry.
