Fabio Soli spurs Itas Trentino

Closed the year 2024 with three consecutive successes and started the new calendar year with a 3-1 win in Modena, Itas Trentino is preparing for Sunday night’s big match against Sir Susa Vim Perugia, a match scheduled at 6 p.m. that pits the league’s first and second-place teams against each other. But, as Fabio Soli explains, it is not only the result noré the position in the standings that will require attention.

"The challenge with Perugia represents for us an opportunity to measure our volleyball and our state of form with Perugia, which is currently proving with results and numbers to be the reference point of Italian volleyball and not only" said the Giallobl&ugrave coach, on the eve of the match that will be playedà at the PalaBarton in Perugia.

"The qualitiesà of the opponent and the thrust of the Umbrian public will make the match rich in high-level content, both in technical and environmental terms,” he added, “offering us the opportunity to express ourselves in an extremely challenging environment. We will need our best and our qualities to compete on equal terms and aspire to get the most out of this compelling challenge".

Perugia and Trentino have already faced each other twice this season: in both cases it was the Umbrians who celebrated, on September 22 in the Supercup final, 3 sets to 2, and on October 27 in the championship, with Sir Susa Vim’s 3-1 comeback victory. Perugia è leads the Superleague standings with 41 points, Trentino follows at 36 but has one match less.
