La Liga 2024-2025: Sevilla-Valencia, the likely lineups

Sevilla-Valencia, the probable formations
They are vital points those at stake Saturday night at the "Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan" stadium, where the host Sevilla faces Valencia in the match valid for the nineteenth round of La Liga. They face two teams with a decent coat of arms but veterans, so far, of a series of disappointing matches that has sharply downgraded their early-season ambitions.
After 18 games, Sevilla è just fourteenth in the standings, with 22 points: the Garcia Pimienta-coached team ended 2024 by losing 4-2 at the "Bernabeu" against Real Madrid (red and white goals by Isaac Romero and Dodi Kukebakio, the latter on a penalty kick) and started the new calendar year even worse, collapsing at home to Almeria (4-1) in the King’s Cup, despite the early lead signed by Romero.
If Sevilla in is doing well, Valencia is even worse: with just 12 points in 18 league matches, the Bianconeri must necessarily turn things around if they are not to see the salvation zone, four points away, recede. In the league, victory has been lacking since Nov. 23 (4-2 at Betis, goals by Tarrega and Diego Lopez, interspersed with Hugo Duro’s brace), but the start of 2025, with the passage of the round in the Cup against Eldense (2-0, Sergi Canos and Diego Lopez scored) has at least given some confidence to the environment.
Probable lineups:
Sevilla (4-3-3): Fernandez; Carmona, Badé, Gudelj, Salas; Sanchez, Agoumé, Lokonga; Lukebakio, Romero, Muzambo. All. Garcia Pimienta.
Valencia (4-2-3-1): Dimitrievski; Foulquier, Tarrega, Mosquera, Vazquez; Barrenechea, Pepelu; Duro, Guerra, Rioja; Almeida. All. Carlos Corberan.
