Recovering from a stellar start to 2025 on the pitch, with the Super Cup victory over Real Madrid thanks to a bombastic 5-2 and another 'manita' rifilata, in the league, at Betis on Wednesday, Barcelona is looking for important points at home to Getafe, a club geographically very close to Madrid, in order not to lose contact in the standings with the two big names in the capital, Atletico and Real.
To Saturday night's match the Azulones also arrive in a more-than-decent state of form: in fact, they have made it through two rounds of the King’s Cup, beating Granada in extra time and Pontevedra, while in the league they beat Las Palmas 2-1 in the match played last Sunday. Coach José Bordalás has almost all his men available: the only absentee is the injured Nyom.
Barça, on the other hand, has Marc Bernal and Marc-Andre ter Stegen stopped in the pits for some time now, while Inigo Martinez è is set to miss the second match in a row due to a muscle problem. In the super attack at Hansi Flick’s disposal will be Robert Lewandowski and, behind him, Lamine Yamal, Gavi and Raphinha.
