Dorothea Wierer, air of home: excellent fourth place in Antholz
Dorothea Wierer è on the rise: after finishing at the foot of the podium in the Ruhpolding mass start, the Azzurra è repeated herself with fourth place in the sprint that opened the home stage in Antholz (Bolzano). The race è was won by Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot, who preceded the two Germans Selina Grotian and Franziska Preuss.
Although the podium faded away, the fourth place represents an excellent springboard for the’pursuit scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. "It’s always a pleasure for me to compete here at home, in Antholz: for the public, for friends and family, for the fans", are the words to the microphones of Fisi.
"It’ nice to have them soì close but I have to keep my concentration: today I had really good materials, I felt fast all over the track. Unfortunately I made one mistake too many compared to the others to be able to play for the podium".
Also excellent was the performance of 22-year-old Martina Trabucchi, free from mistakes in the shot put to pick up a valuable 20th place ahead of a good Michela Carrara. Hannah Auchentaller è finished 30th.
