Today è a historic day for our tennis. For the first time, in fact, we find as many as eleven Italian players in the ATP ranking. And for the first time Italy è the nation with more players among the top 100 in the world.
Jannik Sinner continues to lead the tricolor group of Top 100 players, on the strength of his third career Slam title at the Australian Open. The South Tyrolean has now reached eight titles in what the ATP calls the big tournaments (Slam, Masters 1000, Nitto ATP Final, Olympic Games), as many as seven of them won since the beginning of 2004.
Sinner, the Italian mostù titled in majors in the history of Italian men’s tennis, maintains 11,830 ranking points having managed to confirm the title in the tournament where a year ago he won a Slam for the first time in his career.
Behind him in the rankings are Lorenzo Musetti world number 17, Matteo Berrettini 33, Flavio Cobolli 34, Lorenzo Sonego at number 35, Matteo Arnaldi 40, Luciano Darderi 47, Luca Nardi 83, Lorenzo Fognini 89, Francesco Passaro 90 and Mattia Bellucci 98.
