In this relaunch journey, among the most ambitious projects for the 70th anniversary stands out the digitization of the historical archive, which will make decades of articles and testimonies accessible, preserving a unique collective memory.

L’Espresso renews itself to continue making history.

The’evolution of L’Espresso towards new market frontiers passes through strategic initiatives that strengthen its independence and competitive capacity. Prominent among these is the creation of an in-house commercial structure for the direct management of advertising opportunities and strategic partnerships.

The commercial supervision è has been entrusted to Fabrizio Piscopo, an authoritative professional in the advertising panorama and already Media&ADV Executive of Rai, Sky Media, Discovery, Group M. Thanks to his many years of experience and deep knowledge of the market, Piscopo will leadà as General Media Advisor this new set-up with the aim of optimizing commercial performance and further enhancing the positioning of the L’Espresso brand in the publishing and advertising panorama.

L'Espresso, one of the most authoritative weeklies on the Italian journalistic scene, has always been a point of reference for quality information, with its commitment to reporting on politics, culture and major social transformations. Without fear. And 70 years later, the mission of opinion structure, as defined by founder Eugenio Scalfari, è remained the same. However, the world è changed profoundly and è the time has come to take a step forward for L’Espresso as well, with the’goal of guaranteeing even more immediate, incisive, always free information.

Precisely in this direction is the acquisition of L’Espresso by the Ludoil Group, which took place in December 2023. This move marked the’start of a new phase for the title, with a twofold ambition: to consolidate the weekly as a model of excellence in information and to transform it into a modern media company, capable of exploiting multiple communication channels to expand its reach and strengthen the impact of its message.

To support this vision, publisher Donato Ammaturo has outlined a clear strategy for the future, with well-defined short-, medium- and long-term goals. At the same time, editor Emilio Carelli’s editorial line remains faithful to tradition, which does not just observe reality, but investigates it in depth: politics, economics and culture are told with the unique gaze of the great investigations, capable of illuminating the shadowy areas and giving voice to the stories that really matter.

The new platform – also thanks to the support of tech partner Fytur – will be designed to improve navigation, especially from mobile, enrich the enjoyment of content and adapt to the needs of an increasingly digital audience. At the same time, social networks, with revamped graphics, will become a central space for dialogue and in-depth analysis, transforming themselves into a real hub for direct confrontation with readers, as well as a source of constantly updated news. Finally, podcasts will represent a key element of’innovation: through exclusive content and tailor-made formats, they will offer new ways of telling and interpreting reality, capable of attracting new generations and reaching an even wider audience.

These events will represent a’unique opportunity to delve into topical and interesting issues, creating a direct and engaging dialogue with the target audience.
